The most highly anticipated crowdfunding campaign of 2020 is here! Now is your chance to get early access to book 1 in a bold new series of the XSeed saga: Combat Frame XSeed: S!
Can humanity survive a world-destroying force that has never known defeat?
The Ynzu Siege nears its third bloody decade. Battered to the breaking point, the United Commonwealth-Protectorate recalls its combat frame carrier fleet for a last stand at Earth.
Lt. Dex Trapper must battle for his life when the Ynzu strike his remote extrasolar colony. Cut off from the UCP, Dex and his CF tech Thatch make a desperate break for help in a century-old XSeed.
If you thought the first XSeed series was ambitious, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. The CY 40 arc introduced the CFXS universe. The S arc will expand the saga to interstellar scale!

Starting a new series within the CFXS universe wasn’t a project I undertook lightly. Not only did a story of the scope I wanted to tell require expanding the narrative framework, to do it justice I had to up my game across the board. That meant a new tone, renewed dedication to my craft, and a fresh aesthetic.
If the first XSeed series was Mobile Suit Gundam meets Tom Clancy, XSeed: S is Macross meets Warhammer 40K.
This is the story I’ve been working up to for years, and now you can reserve a front row seat. The book crowdfunder is live on Indiegogo, where you can reserve a pre-launch digital copy and choose from an ever-expanding selection of tantalizing perks.
To kick the proceedings off with a bang, not only do all perk tiers include a digital copy of XSeed: S, but the entire original CFXS eBook series as well!
But that’s just sweetener for the awesome perks we’ve got lined up, including the chance to be in the book, be killed in the book, and of course, build your own mech!
Platypus tested, platypus approved! |
If our prior successful campaigns are any indication, the limited-quantity perks will go fast, so claim yours now!
UPDATE: We’re already past 30% funded as of press time. Big thanks to our amazing backers! Let’s get this project 100% funded today and unlock the first stretch goal–an IGG exclusive short story that will bridge the CY-era and the S-era. The short will be for all backers, and backers only, so head over to IGG and back the book now!
I cannot wait to see the sweet, sweet Build-A-Mechs that people come up with this time.
As of this comment, 2 out of 6 slots taken!
And it's only day one!
Backed. My first crowdfund ever. (Ok, Xoomer. :))
Ask John C. Wright to give you a plug. I'm sure he'd do it.
Thank you! And yes, John signal boosted the first two campaigns. It's at least worth asking him to promote this one.

Backed as soon as I got notification. 🙂

Thank you.

Yes, yes!
"If the first XSeed series was Mobile Suit Gundam meets Tom Clancy, XSeed: S is Macross meets Warhammer 40K."
I think Warhammer is overdue with being replaced in the same vein as Star Wars/Trek.
Chances are.
About the only thing I liked from WH was anything written by Dan Abnett
If the Ninth Edition trailer is anything to go by…
Scott W.,
I never cared for Abnett, with the exception of some of the Gaunt books. But Caiphas Cain, by Sandy Mitchell? I’ve read them numerous times. I don’t usually care for tie-in fiction but I fell in love with those stories.
Unfortunately, I think Eli is right about 40K.
As of now, you are at 81%. This is also my first crowdfunding. It's a fun project.
If it's fun for you, then I've done my job.
Thanks!
120%
Congrats, Brian! Onward and upward!
Couldn't have done it without you!
Signal boosted.
Thanks 🙂
I finally went Full Retard and signed up to die. You have my permission to make it as painful as possible. I have a high threshold.

Send me an email, and we'll hash out the gory details.
About four chapters in the first book. There isn't a star-map/atlas/geography around is there?
Thanks for reading! Does this help?

I read on the backflap "Earth-Moon LaGrange points" so that was the first thing I looked up, which helped. I was wondering if you had your own as in "Byzantium colony" labeled at L1, etc. I just dig maps and in sci-fi/fantasy it helps ground me in what's going on as in "Ah. The action is taking place here." Kinda like my favorite translation of Thucydides is "The Landmark Thucydides" because I'm not wondering where the bleep Epidamnos is.
Understood. The colonies are rather hard to map, though, since they're floating around the LaGrange points like this:

I would totally build a mech if I wasn't so poor, but $5 for four books is a steal. Backed.
Truly the mite given out of your poverty is as princely a sum as the mightiest mech! Thank you!
“XSeed S is Macross meets Warhammer 40K”
Take my money!!
Gotta give EmpReb credit for that one!
