My story “Friggin’ Guard Guys!” is a bit of satire. It’s a revised and slightly expanded version of a story originally published in Space Force: Building the Legacy, which came out in 2020. I’m happier with the new version, but the original book is a lot of fun. After 2 and a half years at the Pentagon, I needed to have a little fun with the whole “Space National Guard” controversy, which is still ongoing.
