Presenting a gripping new supernatural anthology featuring some of newpub’s finest!
Supernatural evils lay hidden, deep in the shadows of society. Be these dangers man or beast, they will strike at unsuspecting, everyday people. What if there are no selfless wizards around when a demon steps from the alley? What if there are no supers to be found when the ancient demigod awakens? What if there is no prophesy and no chosen one to stand in the way of the dark forces? In these cases, the regular people must must courage to face the foe. The protagonists in these stories have no magic powers, but they refuse to be powerless. This collection of 17 short stories brings you new adventures and new dangers, all in modern settings.

I’m excited! I have my first published story in there!
Congratulations!
Well done!
Sounds cool! I’ve always been somewhat in favour of the “normal” badass hero fighting the bad guys even when he doesn’t have powers. It’s got a kind of cool feeling to it. Kind of like what inspires people to like Imperial Guard over Space Marines in 40K.
‘What if there is no prophesy and no chosen one…’
Y’see, this is my problem. I love reading this stuff, but every time I run over a howler like this, it completely breaks the spell for me.
Please, please, please, for the love of all that is literary, LEARN TO F*ING SPELL!!! MS Word is not a proof-reading tool.
Prophesy (with an s) is a verb, it means to make a Prophecy (with a c), which is a noun. They’re not even pronounced the same. (Do you know what verbs and nouns are?)
Get thee hence to a dictionary, and tatoo on your braaiinzz the differences between the following words:
Hoard and Horde
Council and Counsel
Wave and Waive
They’re and their
There and Their
Then and Than
Shown and Shone (this only applies in certain accents)
That’s all for now. [slams door, mutters to self]
