The latest-built of the 3 known Ynzu Controller craft, this monstrous fighter borrowed more from the Nidulans attack spacecraft than Ynzu combat frames. Indeed, PAX, UCP, and CDF pilots who encountered the 45-meter-long beast over Mars in CY 99 described it as a “super Nid.”

On paper, that description proved apt. Built on a sea spider/starfish base similar to the Nidulans’, the third Controller’s personal craft effectively doubled a Nid’s standard firepower. It boasted 8 arms instead of 4, each ending in razor-sharp spikes that could spear enemy CFs or deploy massive grappling claws. Each arm also mounted a graviton cannon capable of burning through a One-Series XSeed’s armor in one shot. A quartet of dual autocannons installed to fore, aft, starboard, and port were reserved for precision work and laying down suppressive fire.

While perhaps less flashy than its predecessors, the third Controller’s craft incorporated cutting-edge technology that easily gave it performance on par with the most advanced custom units. Its powerful reactor and gravity drive gave it greater speed than any Controller CF. And its double-thickness fractal diamond armor was supplemented by a super high-output ion field. The best way to survive being to avoid detection altogether, the third unit came equipped with a state-of-the-art gravitic cloak capable of evading all but the most sensitive instruments. Self-repair nanomachines carried over from the humble Nidulans dramatically extended operational time and survivability.

Yet a sinister faction within BEC birthed a monster to surpass even the mightiest Ynzu weapon.
