They Just Can’t Say It

They Just Can’t Say It

Secular scolds who try to co-opt Christian morality to puff themselves up just cannot confess Jesus’ Lordship and divinity.

A commenter on a recent post demonstrates.

Not a Catholic

As you can see by the timestamps, the customary 24 hours, and more, have elapsed with no reply. Witch confirmed.

Don’t let wolves in sheep’s clothing claim the moral high ground, and don’t give money to people who hate you.

I thought it was interesting that you went right to witch. I have to admit, I was assuming it was a Jack Chick acolyte trying to start a fight with the Papists.

I know text flattens emotion, but even so, the witch's tone is snide and passive-aggressive.

That's why I tested him right away. An honest practitioner of the Baptist Arts would have enthusiastically made the confession.

Always go directly to "Witch". Always.

      *nods*

How do you know she is a witch? *runs away giggling*

She turned me into a newt!

      I got better.

But, does she weigh as much as a duck?

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Textual inversion confirmed. Were I a magical practitioner I'd be less blase about perverting a text with a curse attached to it.
Not just a witch. A shitty one.

      Indeed. Nice catch.

It's amazing how many self-proclaimed experts out there don't understand a thing about Catholic teachings.

I dare that guy to go read the Catechism.

    • A Reader

Browsing the Catechism is very instructive. Catholic thought is very thorough, has helped me better understand those points we hold in common (which is the vast majority of them), and has even helped me reconsider things like the Immaculate Conception, which I'm willing to admit seems reasonable and plausible, and the Sacraments.

It's not like we're trying to keep this stuff secret.
