Hustlers and Hucksters

High-value Man

A relative newcomer to Catholic Twitter that’s impressed me of late is Pinesap.

I’m serious. This kid is on the ball theologically.

Give him a follow:

Pinesap

If you need reassurance that not all Zoomers are deviant heathens, Pinesap’s content is for you.

Prime example: his recent thread on Manosphere red pill pushers luring aimless Millennials Gen Zeds into lives of empty hedonism.

Hustle Culture 1

Hustle Culture 2

Hustle Culture 3

Hustle Culture 4

Reading that thread reminded me of author David Stewart’s recent piece on Millennial masculinity.

Being serious Christians, both David and Pinesap saw through the smoke and mirrors to the hollow effeminacy peddled by hustle culture hucksters.

The crisis facing today’s young men isn’t lack of wealth or sex. It’s an absence of meaning.

If chasing money, cars, and women were the purpose of life, they would provide not just temporary satisfaction, but permanent fulfillment.

The red pill gangs’ open pursuit of ever more wealth and an endless series of one-night stands betrays that they’re selling material self-medication for symptoms of a spiritual disease.

And the relief the red pill offers is fleeting.

Studies keep showing that higher earnings stop causing a direct rise in happiness well below the vaunted million-dollar mark. Yet people feel driven to seek more and more.

If sex was man’s true final end, he’d mate once like a bug and die.

What these online gurus miss is that man is a composite of flesh and spirit with a spiritual final end.

Our Maker told us.

Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.

The real high-value man is the Man Jesus Christ.

Follow Him.

NB: Pinesap also has a YouTube channel that’s small but growing. Even now, it makes up for dearth of quantity with high quality.

Check it out.

And stop wasting money and attention on grifters who hate God.

Pinesap was the one who participated in that debunking of Francis-hate, in another of your posts, wasn’t he?
    Very much clued in.

Glad to see someone calling out the BS hustle/RP movements. However the attraction to these movements is in part due to the softening and effeminizing of Christ and Christianity. Speaking only for myself, but I still am figuring out how to validate/embrace a stronger side to Christ in Christianity with there’s so much fluff to plow through.

A better way to put it, I want to see more and embody the crusader kind of Christianity, not the passive, nice cult kind. Crusaders being described as warrior monks seems like a fitting archetype for men to strive for. It calls for bravery, strength, and piety. That goes against everything manosphere gurus are selling other men.

    • If you want to make rapid progress in gaining manly virtue, ask Our Lady of Sorrows to pray that God reveals your predominant fault to you and grants you the grace to amend it.

Fasting, chastity, prayer and alms giving are 4 ways to die unto yourself. Sacrifice your hunger, lust, free time and spare cash.

Get to know the Church Fathers, the martyrs of the faith and the Saints.

      BayouBomber,
Same. Most of the manosphere are beta grifters mascarading as alphas. Yet their advice is how to bed women, not about discernment. Tate in particular affronted me with his showing off of his fancy cars and LARPING like he’s some alpha chad when he was but a sordid pimp.

  3. Right on. This guy gets it. He essentially explained Roosh’s journey from red-pulled hedonism to Jesus Christ. Hopefully Mr. Pinesap can help more see through the con.

  4. “Pinesap also has a YouTube channel…”

Thanks. The first thought that came to me is is he any where other than Twitter. 😀
