Another round of damning revelations has been brought to light in the perpetual gay priest child sex abuse scandal in the Catholic Church. In sum, the State of Pennsylvania investigated 70 years of clergy sex abuse claims and found that 300 priests had abused at least 1000 minors. The height of the abuse occurred over a span of years from the 60s to the 80s. Statutes of limitations prevent criminal charges from being filed in most of these cases, so the PA Attorney General released the grand jury report.
As is always the case when insular, aloof bishops are caught covering up for perverts in the clergy, the whole media circus rolls into town. The usual troupe of performers runs the gamut from Stockholm syndrome cases who make public excuses for the pervs and their benefactors to blue checkmark hustlers taking a break from decrying the Church’s condemnation of pedophilia to scold it for harboring pedophiles.
Most people, scandalized by decades of garbage-tier catechesis on the Church’s part, rightly call for the perps’ heads to roll and take advantage of the zeitgeist to tell ribald priest jokes. The dwindling number of American Catholics breathe weary sighs, clench our fists, and break out our pocket Catechisms in anticipation of the inevitable haranguings in store at work and school.
Solving a problem requires understanding the causes. In this case, we’re dealing with an episcopate that operates as if it’s still the 1950s and the American Church rivals US Steel for clout. The numbers say otherwise. Let’s take a look at the data.
You’d think the guys in charge of teaching, leading, and sanctifying the Church in America would know they’re presiding over a flock with a 41% attrition rate. They sure don’t act like it, though–probably because they’re looking at this chart:
“Wait a minute,” I can hear you ask, “how can the US Catholic population be rising that fast when about half of cradle Catholics go apostate?”
Here’s your answer:
Hispanics make up the largest Catholic demographic in all age groups from infancy to age 39. Those atrocious apostasy rates are being concealed by mass immigration.The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is living in a dream world because they have no skin in the game.
That’s not to say they don’t have money in the game.
The US Catholic bishops have accepted the government’s thirty pieces of silver to betray their own flocks. It’s not just the money they take for refugee resettlement, either. Every Catholic institution from schools to hospitals has its snout buried deep in the federal trough. The bishops don’t heed the cries of the American faithful because legions of foreign faithful are drowning us out.
Any American Catholic prelate who speaks against immigration reform is either making a cynical appeal to keep the government money flowing or is a tool of those who wish to keep lining their pockets from the federal coffers. The Catechism clearly affirms the right of nations to define themselves and to legally limit immigration for the sake of the common good. Placing a moratorium on immigration from Latin America will definitely be to the good of US bishops rendered oblivious to the meltdown occurring on their watch.
If you want to purify the Catholic Church in America, build the Wall.
And Zmirak is right. Don’t give money to people who invade your nation.
The local parish doesn't even hide its hatred for whites anymore. This is reflective of the entire diocese.

-Pay for wetback beetus medication
-Pay for edumacating future wetbacks in their current countries
-Celebrating Central American holidays in place of American holidays
-Pro-gay support group (parents encouraged to attend!)
-Boy Scouts now includes girls
While white men are particularly hated, white women are beginning to realize that their only purpose to the church is to produce metizos and the occasional mulatto.

Ensure your tithe goes to God's work, especially if God's work is not being done by your church.

The US Catholic hierarchy are clearly convinced they'll escape the broader consequences of white replacement. The HHS Mandate fiasco should have shown them otherwise.
Our rootless cosmopolitan elites hate the Catholic Church even more than they hate the dirt people from flyover country. If the elites successfully import enough third worlders to give the Democrats permanent governing majorities, coming up with sophistic rationalizations so their hospitals can shirk the teaching against contraceptives will be the least of the bishops' worries.
The USCCB is assisting the American Church's suicide. It's infuriating.
Sometimes my wife and I joke around that we've chosen a really bad time to join the Roman Catholic Church.
I'm constantly getting emails from Protestant friends and elders asking me what I have to say about this or that (recently it's been the change to the Cathechism on death penalty, but also the sexual abuse scandal).
Next to enabling the abuse of minors, the most frustrating result of the hierarchy's ivory tower clericalism is the demoralization of faithful laypeople who are constantly put on the spot to run damage control for their idiotic scandals.
Christ warned us of the world's hatred. Lately the clergy seem determined to maximize it.
Wait I’ve been reliably informed that sex with children is normal and anything gay is awesome! Why are these priests being vilified?

Every flareup in the Church abuse scandal always drums up the same crowd of any-stick-to-beat-the-dog bigots, sophistic vultures, and general heckling from the cheap seats.
It's worth reminding opportunists with theological axes to grind that the Bible prescribes the same penalty for leading people away from the Church as for priests who commit sexual abuse.

I've lately felt something of a pull towards Christianity, Catholicism, in particular. (I've generally believed in the existence of a God but haven't gotten serious about it, in part due to my religious upbringing).
However, seeing things like this, as well as the general convergence of churches, while not making me hesitant to become Christian, DOES make me wonder how I can go about learning and finding my way to God and finding like-minded people.

I do know how you feel. Ever since I became a Catholic (Christian, even) I have mostly been dealing with liberal, lazy Boomers who are simply not interested in either growing the Church or helping those already inside.
If I couldn't come online I would be convinced that Christianity in the West was entirely dead.
Helping others learn about the faith and find God is my solemn obligation. Prayers and requested post forthcoming.

Cardinal Sarah's book was translated to English. My wife is reading it now, and quite enjoying it.
I live in one of the most liberal spots in the country, and that goes for most of the Catholics I meet too. Our Bible study leader and Archbishop Sample are the only outside of my nuclear family I am confident are orthodox Catholics, and I sometimes have my doubts about the former too. I find it discouraging, but what can you do? Move to another country were the Church is growing? I might, if most of them weren't crappy or heterodox countries. It is the true Church, whether you like the people in it/set over it or not, so we just have to try and change it/endure it until we get the culture change we desperately need (or Christ comes again…)

Thanks for the update. I think that this latest crisis is an opportunity to take back our heritage. It's a more solemn one compared to the pulprev and superversive but I'm struck at the syncroncity of it all.

None of the Boomers in charge are willing to do anything to fix a single problem. They finally have the Church remodeled in their image, and that's the way it has to stay.
The parish I came back to apparently had a meeting about how to get younger people to return to the Church. This was before I returned. I'm the youngest person who attends that isn't being shuffled about by grandparents. Not one of them has ever asked me or approached for any possible advice on how to get more people my age back.
I'd like to believe there are older Catholics that are serious about their faith, but I have never met any in real life outside of my grandmother's generation.
I hear more crying about Trump than any discussion about issues like this.
And it's Trump who's trying to save them from themselves.
Much of the problem will be alleviated when the current Church leadership–both in the hierarchy and the lay parish and diocesan administrators–retire or die off. The JPII babies are not enamored of felt banners and guitar masses.
Or go to jail. Why that excardinal is allowed to be free escapes me. I have to accept that the state will need to intervene and jail the prelates who were involved or covered up. A reckoning is on its way and will be extremely cleansing

Brian, why did you strike out "gay priest"? I get that some of the victims were young girls, but the overwhelming majority of victims in PA, and Boston before it, and Sacramento, and Lincoln, NE, and Honduras, and Australia, and Chile are boys and young men. Pedophiles, ephebophiles, homosexuals, and satanists…these four groups are fluid with one another.
