The Future Is Over

This week I put together a book trailer for my upcoming mecha/Mil-SF novel Combat Frame XSeed. So far the response has been extremely positive. See the results for yourself.

Hungry for another XSeed preview? Read a sample of the book here.

I honestly haven’t been this excited about a project of mine in years. The XSeed series is my effort to bring fans of Eastern and Western mecha a new yet familiar mil-SF saga that scrapes off the accretions mech anime has labored under since the 90s while revitalizing the genre with more accessible Western tropes.

The Indiegogo campaign to help fund the Combat Frame XSeed saga starts this Friday. I’m counting on your support!

You are also trying to bring together /k/ and /m/, which typically doesn't end well.

OK. I admit I have Boomer-level tech. Are those subreddits or something?

/k/ and /m/ are the Weapons and Mecha boards respectively on 4chan.

    • Brian Niemeier

Thanks. 4chan was gonna be my next guess.

That trailer is exactly the sort of style Hollywood has completely lost, never mind tradpub. The excitement is palpable.

I wish you luck on the campaign!

Nice trailer! Reminds me of how Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri stitched together its own cinematic sequences from a combination of archival footage and original art, to excellent effect.

You flatter me! Planning for the CY 40 trailer is already underway. Can't wait to hear what you think.
