Less than a week after seventeen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first degree murder for defending himself in a Kenosha street battle, another dissident who took part in political street action, Jay Bishop, lies dead in Portland.
Though police have yet to officially name a suspect, evidence from citizen journalists continues to mount that Bishop’s killer is a far-left radical with deep ties to Antifa.
Whoever the culprit turns out to be, the video evidence makes it clear that Bishop was assassinated while walking along a public street. He was wearing paraphernalia emblazoned with the logo of Patriot Prayer, a Proud Boyt-tier Conservative activist group whom the press are predictably smearing as radical right-wingers.
While Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and other city officials expressed their condolences during a Sunday afternoon press conference, Brown blamed Patriot Prayer for instigating violence.
“The right-wing group Patriot Prayer and self-proclaimed militia members drove into downtown Portland last night, armed and looking for a fight,” Brown said in a statement. “Every Oregonian has the right to freely express their views without fear of deadly violence. I will not allow Patriot Prayer and armed white supremacists to bring more bloodshed to our streets.”
She added: “Time and again, from Charlottesville to Kenosha to Portland, we have seen the tragic outcome when armed right-wing vigilantes take matters into their own hands. Gun violence is never, ever the answer.”
Right on cue, she waves the bloody shirt that C-Ville handed her. Take note of our elites’ moral calculus.

It’s always instructive to hear our rulers’ reactions when their lap dogs slip the leash and get themselves or others killed. It’s even more instructive to look at their subsequent actions.
Brown’s plan calls for the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office to “prosecute serious criminal offenses, including arson and physical violence.” Under the plan, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office will hold individuals for violent behavior. Plus, the Oregon State Police will assist PPB and wear body cams while doing so.
The governor is also asking the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Gresham Police Department to support Portland police. The Oregon State Police is also providing two dozen body cams to the Portland Police Bureau.
The Governor’s public renunciation of the right-wing boogeymen hiding under her supporters’ beds is just a Death Cult-mandated ritual. As usual, the Cult’s delusions are revealed as such upon contact with reality.
The lesson, once again for the slow kids, is this: Stay. Away. From. Protests.
And don’t give money to people who hate you.

Luckily, I won't have to stop watching pro sports, since I never did anyway, so I'm not giving money to people who hate me in that case.

Blaming Patriot Prayer for "gun violence" is a bit like blaming the Amish for cybercrime.
Note that the one participant in the Kenosha affair who is undeniably guilty of a gun crime–the convicted burglar illegally carrying a pistol–is never accused of it in the press.
Just like Jacob Blake's criminal past, with the victim who called 911 in the first place no less, disappears. I suppose pseudo-canonizing sexual predators precisely because they were killed by the wrong people is the logical conclusion of lionizing victimhood.

So Kyle is not our example for the right and good reason of avoiding protests. He was a volunteer helping to clean up the mess left behind by recent rioting, and then joined his friend to help a fellow friend defend his business and property and the riot/protest came to them. Doesn’t dismiss your advice, but it means Jay above is the real example.
Kyle instead is an example of how a) don’t expect a reward for doing what is right and good and b) be prepared to be persecuted for it by the evil one and his minions. This will hopefully be Sandman part II but with greater consequences for our enemies.

Hopefully someone will identify the learning disability afflicting our side that keeps them from grasping that the actions described in the above quote are a bad idea.
So helping a friend defend their property crosses the line? What is right can be a bad idea based on whatever is selected as the criteria. Would his decision be better or worse if it was family?
Look, I understand the position about optics, the left controlling the field and the perspective via media, but what are we sayin here? For our side, yeah, maybe it would be better to retreat, let the mob burn our friend’s business or three down, and then try to show the world what happened. But from the microcosm of helping a friend, or family, defend their property…not sure how that can be demanded of the man or his friends without a general and battle plan.
It’s a business or three, they can burn and it wouldn’t be the end. You could appeal for outside donations. You could ask a lawyer to sue the state and the police on your behalf. So yeah, I’ll walk it back, everyone involved should have walked away.
I just sympathize with them, and their actions were still good, just not strategic in the big picture sense nor safe regarding likely consequences.
How is it difficult to understand that walking into an area gripped by deadly violence such that it requires going armed is foolhardy–especially in the current social climate?
Defending his own family if the murderous thugs came for them completely changes the moral calculus. There's a hierarchy of moral responsibility, and one's family occupies the highest place.
Put another way, we have zero moral obligation to venture into these riot-ravaged areas to render aid.
It's easy for me to say, "let them burn their own cities," and I have, but when I mentally shift that tide of violence from a blue city far away to Austin, or Houston, or San Antonio, the water starts looking awfully muddy.
All our best instincts – to render aid, to defend the defenseless, and not to let the hordes run rampant – might urge us to move to the sounds of the guns. That I grant is sometimes madness, but these are mad times. A man who sees no good options might do something to seize what he sees as the least bad option.
The Death Cult's specialty is turning our virtues into vices.
The only counter I can imagine to that kind of virtue-jitsu is the practice of self-denial, and to take my cross and follow.

I read that the recent Patriot Prayer members (unsure what noun to use here) mentioned in the original post were "armed" with paint ball guns.
Can anybody verify this?
