CatholicDan returns with a spiritual successor to a previous high (as in on high) strangeness post.
Miracles aren’t fairytale magic that happened only in ancient stories.
They happen all the time. Right now as you read this, even.
God is good.
NB: Your guardian angel’s first act of will was choosing to love you, and that’s how he obtained salvation.
Make sure to thank God for him.
“NB: Your guardian angel’s first act of will was choosing to love you, and that’s how he obtained salvation.”
I don’t think I’ve encountered this idea before. Sources? (Not doubting it, just curious about where it comes from.)
Each angel was created for one specific job. At the moment of his creation, each was infused with all the knowledge required to do that job and asked if he consented to it. Those who said yes were immediately saved; those who said no, immediately damned. Guarding you and assisting you in attaining salvation was the job your guardian angel was created for. Willing the good of another and taking action to bring it about is the definition of love. So choosing to love you was your guardian angel’s first decision and the one that secured his salvation.
