For today’s tale of high strangeness, we turn once again to bigfoot expert Bob Gymlan.
This time, Mr. Gymlan passes along an account from a viewer that by his own admission creeped him out more than any other story he’s received.
Make sure to watch it all the way to the end:
My two cents:
A loyal patron happened to see this video at almost the same time I did. Much like the woman’s neighbor, he suspects demonic activity at work.
So as not to jump straight to the It’s Demons explanation, a lot of the occurrences Mr. Gymlan’s correspondent detailed are consistent with frequently reported bigfoot behavior – especially from the Western and mountain states.
That said, then you have the burying of the angel statues, which is new, to my knowledge.
And I’ve been studying these phenomena for longer than all of the Zoomer and some of the Millennial readers of this blog have been alive.
For my money, the oddest part of this story is the witness’ offhand dismissal of her neighbor’s spiritual interpretation of these events.
Then again, whenever you hear someone described as “super religious,” “ultra-religious,” or “scary religious,” odds are the one applying those labels is a late Modern cut off from tradition.
Besides, the neighbor did have a point.
Maybe
It depends on why it was burying angel statues.
If the creature’s behavior was driven by an aversion to sacred objects, yeah. That’s a pretty sure sign of the demonic.
On the other hand, it may have stolen the angels for the opposite reason – because it liked them – and the sandbox was its private stash.
The fact that the burial site had been an actual pigpen inclines me to see the statues’ interment as an act of desecration, though.
Which makes the presence in the pit of the witness’ personal items, including her own photograph, extra disturbing.
The witness states that her father never went to church, and since he raised her alone, odds are good that she didn’t either.
So these incidents may have been allowed to shock them out of their soft heathenry.
If so, the lesson didn’t seem to take, unfortunately.
Either way, she and her family could probably use our prayers, even these years later.
