Yesterday’s post on Pope Francis’ stern rebuke against cat moms drew a number of critical comments–not just from the Child Free™ and loving it crowd, but from ostensible dissidents, too. That’s not surprising, since the fallout from the Sexual Revolution has tainted every corner of modern life, even the counterculture.
The most common critique leveled at Francis was “How many children does the Pope have?” The strange phenomenon of internet edgelords recycling anti-clerical memes coined by 1960s Leftists shows how deep the Boomer conditioning still runs today.
Now, I could descend into autist territory and give the meme’s factual answer of 2.2 billion, but that would be applying a band-aid instead of addressing the symptoms.
It’s no secret that relations between the sexes have reached a crisis point. Almost 1/5 of American women are on antidepressants. Only about a quarter of Millennials are married, an all-time low compared to prior generations’ marriage rates at the same age.
Everybody knows the main contributing causes to the collapse in male-female relations. No-fault divorce, the normalization of extramarital sex, and widely available artificial contraception helped destroy the marriage market’s natural balance. It’s fair to say that most critics of the Pope’s statement know these stats, yet they sling Boomer memes at him anyway.
What the above data points tell us is that many in dissident circles are afflicted with chronic cognitive dissonance on matters of sexual morality. The historical facts are that hooking up, cohabitating before marriage, and even dating, are Modernist inventions at odds with healthy human sexuality. Every corrupt cultural institution may claim otherwise, but the united front put up on this subject by witches who hate normal people just goes to prove the Pope right.
An intelligent rebuttal to Francis’ condemnation of spouses who choose to stay childless would start with conceding the importance of procreation–especially in light of Western demographic collapse. Therefore, Christendom needs all hands on deck starting families to combat demographic winter.
Though stronger than a facile hypocrisy accusation, that argument runs up against the same cultural dysfunction. The Latin Church has known for ages that married men, while vital to the health and propagation of society, are at an inherent disadvantage when it comes to fighting the culture war.
The tradition going back to St. Augustine–and even Our Lord Himself–holds that family obligations can encumber men called to special missions in the world. Priestly celibacy isn’t just a holdover solution from the days when clergy got caught up in feudal politics. Being a spiritual father involves many of the same responsibilities as biological fatherhood, but for a family numbering in the hundreds. It’s wise not to further divide a pastor’s attention.
A more recent and more pressing impediment compounds family men’s impediments to effective culture war leadership. The Death Cult takes vicious delight in holding our virtues hostage. They know that they can control most husbands and fathers by threatening their livelihoods. Consider how many Christian men who personally opposed taking Death Cult communion folded when their jobs were threatened.
Our current crisis continues because we are ruled by overgrown toddlers who’ve been throwing a decades-long tantrum, but not enough men have put a foot down and told them to stop. That once-simple act now comes with life-destroying consequences, so fathers and husbands can’t be blamed for staying silent.
On the bright side, the Death Cult’s sentencing of more and more people to economic and social exile is set to reap unintended consequences. A large swath of young men are being left with nothing to lose and no loyalties to the ruling class that made them outlaws. If leaders who will put the Cultists in their place are to emerge, they will arise from the legions of dispossessed incels.

The next few months is where the sorting really starts to happen.
The people who took the jab largely fall into one of three camps:
-True believers who worship “The Science.”
-People who were misled about the dangers of COVID and the effectiveness of the vaccine.
-People who thought that getting the jab was a “one and done” sacrifice that would bring them back to normality.
The people in the first group will obviously do whatever Fauci and the like say, no matter how illogical or demented. The people in the second group have largely decided not to get boosted (“fool me once…”)
The interesting group is the third one. It is getting more and more apparent that boosters will be required for obedience, and that even the “fully vaccinated” will need to be masked, undergo testing, etc. There will be some benefit to being jabbed, though it will be more and more obviously punitive. (For example, I heard a story of a hospital which disallowed COVID-negative unjabbed employees from coming to work while not allowing asymptotic COVID-positive jabbed employees from taking sick leave.) So the decision will be more and more blatantly “do you obey to keep your table scraps? Or do you dissent and keep your dignity?”
Some in that group will actually find a line which really does go too far, but many will keep submitting over and over again, all the while telling themselves that this is only temporary and that they would dissent if it became truly unbearable.
If we blame the fruits of Operation Pork Speed on Donald Trump, we might be able to make anti-vaccination the new hotness. The problem would be that such a campaign would never succeed without God’s endorsement, and something tells me that this wouldn’t be appropriate for the Prayer of the Faithful:
“For America’s health—that Donald Trump becomes the scapegoat for the predictably wicked vaccines that we should have refused, but marketed to our congregations anyway. We pray to the Lord.”
Dcal and Rudolph,
I suspect Djokovic’s treatment has opened the eyes of many regular. They now realize the elites have not only lost their minds, they’re vindictive.
And if regular people don’t stop them, the elites will become ever more destructive like a juggernaut.
