A referendum that would have replaced the Irish constitution’s recognition of the family’s basis in marriage with accretions involving other “durable relationships” suffered overwhelming defeat on Saturday.

The ballot count shows that the anti-family referendum was rejected by 67.7 percent of Irish voters.

The overall Referendum Returning Officer Barry Ryan made the official declaration in Dublin Castle shortly before 7pm.

The margin between those in favour and those against is expected to be 32.3%, or 533,982 votes.

Speaking on RTÉ’s Six One News, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said the referendum result was clear and both amendments would be rejected by a “considerable margin.”

“We accept the result. We will respect the result fully, and as the head of Government and on behalf of the Government we accept responsibility for our failure to convince a majority of people to vote Yes,” Mr Varadkar said.

Eamon Ryan, leader of Ireland’s Green Party, also acknowledged that the government would have to bow to the result.

Currently the Irish constitution – or Bunreacht na hÉireann – says mothers should not have to go out into the workplace to the neglect of their “duties in the home”.

It also states that women’s “life within the home” is a source of support to the state which is necessary for the “common good”.

Irish voters rejected proposed changes to that language regarding the role of women by an even larger “No” vote of 73.9 percent.

It was the highest ever no vote percentage in an Irish referendum.

You’ve got to love how cosmopolitan elites always give their pro-Moloch laws ironic names.

The Irish pols calling their latest failed bit of witchery “The Family Referendum” is like titling a bill to raze Blarney Castle and replace it with a gay nightclub “The Historical Preservation Act.”

It’s not even that they want to fool anyone. Their brazen absurdity is part of the deliberate humiliation ritual.

[Irish Deputy Prime Minister Micheál Martin] said he did not think the referendum would go again as the people had spoken.

“The people have spoken emphatically, in respect of the two propositions, so certainly not in the lifetime of this Government,” Mr Martin said.

Anyone who’s been paying attention knows that the government’s pledge not to re-do the vote is about as honest as the referendum’s title.

As dissident blogger the Z Man has noted, these referendums only ever go one of two ways: 1) our rulers get the result they want and stop there, or 2) they keep holding do-overs until they get the result they want, then go back to 1.

Failing that, they go court shopping for judges to overturn the people’s will or foul it up with bureaucratic resistance. Just look at Proposition 8 in California or Brexit in the UK.

That’s not to black pill. It is to encourage folks to stay vigilant and most of all, keep praying.

We get the leaders we deserve, so we’ll only have leaders who respect the laws of nature and nature’s God when we turn from the errors of Modernity and embrace Jesus Christ.

Cosmopolitan elites push self-destructive behaviors upon the masses, because they themselves practice self-destructive behaviors. They rarely compute how badly gay sex, abortion, and drugs can tear up families among the lower classes.

Or maybe they do, and it’s a part of their plan to destroy the unwashed rubes of Flyover Country (TM).

Fun fact, it used to be law in Ireland that women had to leave their jobs in the civil service when they got married. It was overturned in 1973 because of feminist outcry.

    From the Irish Independent:
‘There have been reports of a fairly substantial number of spoiled votes in some boxes, with further reports of few miraculous medals tumbling out of freshly opened ballot boxes.’

People who aren’t having kids, and thus have no rightful interest in the future… why are they so obsessed with effing things up for everybody else’s kids and their future?

Mammon doesn’t want you to have kids so you can remain wealthy and independent (shrewd). Moloch wants you to kill your children so you can remain young and free from responsibility forever.

The world elites are in one of these two cabals.
